Urban Forestry Arborist II, City of Longview (Longview, WA)

Responsible for performing specialized functions such as evaluating the condition of trees, make recommendations for the tree care, and provide the services needed such as pruning, fertilization, and insect and disease control and to perform related work as required.

Requirements: A High School Diploma or GED. Three years of full-time experience in arboriculture; or two year degree in arboriculture and two years of full-time practical experience; or a four year degree in a related field and one year of full-time practical experience. Licensing requirements; ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain within 12 months), First Aid/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain), Traffic Control Flagging Certification (or ability to obtain), Class B Commercial Drivers License with airbreaks endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months or as scheduled) (ability to obtain tanker endorsement as assigned), Agriculture Certification (as assigned), Pesticide Applicator License (as assigned).

Compensation: $21.88 – $28.07 per hour, plus excellent benefits
